I bring you greetings and happy holiday wishes from the Lowcountry, Charleston, South Carolina. Today is the Saturday before the New Year. I am at my desk on this cold and rainy day. I have the feeling of writing another book, and the thoughts are racing through my mind. I have some idea what it will be, but have not begun to give it a name, and am asking myself, do I want to approach the theme of family dynamics? We will see.
A lot has happened in my writing life and I have certainly learned somethings, one is that we all have a story in us, second is if it is true, no difficulties are putting it on paper and third, my story is not your story because of our uniqueness in life. I thank God for allowing me to express myself and to put my life in a book or two. I enjoy writing more than I thought I would.
I am 78 years old, have good health, a great mind, and the focus to continue writing. But the biggest plus is having a publisher who believes in me and loves my stories. Eric Garcia, my publisher, is young and this adds to my growth and helps me to address today’s young people in my stories. Pen To Press Publication and I have had a successful relationship for almost two years, and we will continue to guide ourselves prudently as we discover the many wonderful stories that I can create.
I am thankful for all of the readers, the booksellers, and anyone who shares my stories by gifting them to friends and family members. I know that the Lord guides me on this journey and helps me to lay out what needs to be told through my writings. I have been shaped by my experiences in life, most are beyond my control.
God has allowed me to put my experiences in books for the purpose of showing others what can be accomplished through faith, to assist in shaping their lives. I do not take this for granted. I am truly grateful. Pray for me to continue to create subject matters that scream out to you, for the rest of my life.
Happy New Year,
